This policy applies to anyone using systems Cyberunite provides or hosts — websites, applications, client portals and business email. Its purpose is to keep those services safe, lawful and available to everyone who depends on them. Much of what follows is not only a breach of this policy but an offence under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015.
What this covers
This policy applies to everything Cyberunite provides — this website, our client portal, and every product and service line we deliver or operate:
- Web Development
- AI & AI-Powered Apps
- AI Fine-Tuning & Integrations
- Mobile App Development
- Web3 & Blockchain
- Crypto Apps & Exchanges
- Software & SaaS
- Branding & UI/UX Design
- Cloud & Hosting
- ICT Training
It applies whether the work is delivered as a one-off project, an ongoing retainer, a hosted subscription or a training course, and whether you reach us through this site, the portal, a mobile app we publish, or a contract signed directly with us. We serve clients in Nigeria and abroad; this policy applies to all of them.
You must not
- Break the law, or help anyone else to.
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk email, or forge sender details.
- Distribute malware, ransomware, or anything designed to damage or covertly control a system.
- Attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to reach, or test security without our written permission — unauthorised access is an offence under the Cybercrimes Act 2015.
- Operate any advance fee fraud, phishing, impersonation or investment scam, or use our systems to collect money or credentials under false pretences.
- Publish material that infringes copyright, trade marks or other rights — see the Copyright Act 2022 and the Trade Marks Act.
- Publish material that is defamatory, harassing, obscene, or that incites violence or hatred, including on ethnic or religious grounds.
- Upload or host child sexual abuse material — this is an offence under section 23 of the Cybercrimes Act 2015 and we report it to law enforcement without exception.
- Process personal data through our systems without a lawful basis under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
- Impose a load that degrades service for others, including uncontrolled crawling, mining cryptocurrency, or open relays and proxies.
- Resell or sublicense the service unless your contract permits it.
AI and automated tooling
Where we provide AI-assisted features, do not use them to generate unlawful content, to impersonate a real person or organisation, to produce material that misleads about its origin, or to process personal data you have no lawful basis to process. Review AI output before relying on it: it can be wrong, and responsibility for what you publish remains yours.
Security expectations
- Keep credentials confidential and do not share logins between people.
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable additional verification where offered.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect an account has been compromised.
- Report a vulnerability responsibly to info@cyberunite.com and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before disclosing it. We will not pursue good-faith research conducted under those terms.
Content you are responsible for
You are responsible for material you publish through our services and for having the rights to use it. We do not routinely monitor content, but we act on reports.
Enforcement
Where we can, we will contact you first and give you a chance to put things right. Where the breach is serious — unlawful content, an active attack, or a threat to other users — we may suspend or remove access immediately and without notice, and we will tell you why. Repeated or deliberate breaches may end the engagement under the Terms of Service, and we will cooperate with the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission and any other authority where the law requires it.
